I recently bought an Acer Aspire A515-43, it was working normal and totally fine until my touchpad randomly stopped working. I tried restarting multiple times but was unable to get it to start working again. Lucky I have an external mouse that I was able to use, so I searched some fixes but nothing has worked. Although, while I was trying to fix my touchpad I came across something that I think might be the issue. In device manager under the mice category, I am unable to find my touchpad listed but I did find it under human interface devices. Anyways, could someone please help me? I have no idea what to do to fix this issue.

Press the F7 key on the keyboard one time the touch pad should work. The F7 is the key to able and disable the touchpad

    Hi alan145,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
