Hello!! Alienware is a good piece of hardware with all those LED lights etc.. Of you want to choose between Desktop or Laptop, i recommend you to go with Desktops. You can upgrade your graphics card, RAM, harddisk, change cooling units, add more graphics cards, more RAM, more storage, more everything. Laptops can be upgraded too, but a lot of work, probability of breaking it is high when upgrading our changing parts. You'll have to to take it to a tech, they will charge you for the service, etc. I hope this gives you an idea.

If your a home user then we can go for the desktop as it always has more options to change its defaults. but you can also check few laptop as there is huge difference than the normal laptop. its almost equal to desktops. less space and handy.  Predator Triton 900 Gaming Laptop ,Predator Triton 500 Gaming Laptop - PT515-52-77P9. check the site you might get more idea. at the end of the days its the buget than anything :)

"Vampire1312" first you have to make your mind up of what you want? Consider your options as its been pointed out by christy1 and Tachi13 between a desktops or a laptops? If you want a desktop then look at the specs that you want and can afford e.g. as you have said the “Dell Alienware” then make up your mind on the specs that you can afford and compare the individual components of that “Dell Alienware” specs that you want and build your own desktop and compare the cost, that is if you have the experience to do all that? In my case I would always build a desktop as its the best way to get the latest motherboards, graphics cards, hard drives, ram and wifi/bt etc etc that I want and can afford, it’s a more flexible way of getting higher quality specs of what I want and in most cases it works out cheaper. I can’t give you specifics as there are so many options that cater to all sorts of budgets.

If you don’t have the experience then, there are many prebuilt gaming desktops that you can choose from to suite all sorts of budgets for a gamer, it all depends at what level gaming you want to go and that you can afford?  The Acer Gaming desktops like the higher end Nitro’s and the Acer higher end Orion 3000 and 5000 are excellent gaming desktops and have some high specs so that is a great option for you. Good luck and hope this helps
