edited February 2021 in Predator Laptops
Hello I have had this problem with my laptop before where the battery does not charge at all. For some reason the problem came back and went away every once in a while. When lock down started in my area I had switched laptops and I used another laptop for a while. Now the predator laptop does not charge at all or even turn on. I plugged it in for about an hour and still nothing happened. Ever since I bought this laptop I have had many problems. Performance was not as expected (I would get really low frames while gaming and the laptop would even heat up while I'm using chrome to watch YouTube) and I would usually have it turn off on me. I would love to get it to a tech repair shop but I want to try to fix it at home because of Covid-19. If there is anyway I can fix it please reach out to me, I will try any possible solution because I miss gaming and using this laptop. Specs: PH317-52-738E. i7-8750H, GTX 1060 6GB. SNID:XXX. 16Gb ram, 256GB SSD and a 2TB hard drive. Thank you! v

If now the laptop turn on than you need to uninstall the battery driver and restart the unit

Since you said you had multiple issues. Try a factory reset.  Go to settings, update and security, recovery options and full reset. Take a backup and then reset so you won't have data loss. Hope it should work.

I can't use any of these solutions because the laptop does not turn on in the first place. Are there any other solutions? I have already reset the battery using the pinhole thing on the back and that did not help.

my bad.check the charger or with a different charger. if still then its hardware issue, contact acer support. it can be a port issue or a motherboard issue also, so better to contact support.
