Acer XF720H Native Speaker Stopped Working
The native speakers on my XF720H monitor have recently stopped working for seemingly no reason. It started when I went to play my game audio through my speakers and it wasn't showing them in my playback devices, so I checked my device manager, where they were set to "hidden device". I tried to force a update on the driver but Windows insisted it had the best driver, so I uninstalled the speaker thinking it would automatically reinstall and possibly fix the problem upon reboot, but now they are just not there at all. I downloaded and installed my monitor's driver, but it did nothing. I can't find a driver for just the speakers anywhere.
Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else?

Try removing all cables from the monitor including power cable. Press and hold the power button on monitor for 30sec. Connect the power cable and then display cable. Restart the computer. Monitor don't need a specific driver. It will be detected automatically. If not install from acer site.
