Hi there...help please...I have an Acer all in one model Aspire Z5700, still on Windows 7. All of a sudden the built in web cam no longer works. I have looked in Device Manger as suggested on other sites and there is no sign of a web cam icon. Anyone know how to repair it?

Try installing it from below acer site. enter snid and hit find.

While you are in Device Manager, look for any USB devices that are showing errors or warnings. The webcam looks like a USB device to the system.

Hi both...I have tried the 2 alternatives suggested...thanks...I can now see an icon for the Webcam in "Device Manager". Double clicking on it twice shows a narrative that says it is working fine...not sure how to screenshot and paste this so you can see it though...it gave me the option to download the latest driver...it searched but came back saying that the latest driver was installed already...then tried the "test webcam" process which is supposed to bring up a "crystal eye webcam" according to other internet searches and nothing happens....
