Acer Nitro 5 FPS drops and flashing charging light - AN515-42

I have Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-42) for over 2 years now and i really enjoy playing games on it. But today,i came upon a problem. I get massive FPS drops while playing games and the charging light on the side of the laptop starts to blink,like it's getting disconnected. There's also a beep sound which always sounds when i plug/unplug the charger. I really don't know what to do. I had a similar problem few years ago with this exact laptop and i just needed to get the laptop cleaned from dust. I don't remember the charging problem though. Is there any way i can get rid of this problem? It started today and every game ran excellently before. Thank you for every response.

(I had a Windows update few days ago,but i don't think this has anything to do with it.)

Generally it happens due to thermal throttling. Check what is your CPU temperature during gaming. Generally on AMD chipsets thermal throttling happens at around 100 degree. Try to run your computer in a cool place and check if there is proper airflow available at the bottom of the laptop

Try to reinstall the battery drivers for battery and charging issue. go to device manager and uninstall the drivers and restart the unit. dont delete the drivers. also check the below links for fps issue.

Yes your correct. dont delete it,just uninstall and restart the computer. when you restart the computer it will be automatically installed.

I did it and sadly,it didn't help. Before this,i was able to run my game normally for about 1 hour before the drops started,but after i reinstalled battery drivers it got worse. I now have FPS drop every 5 seconds or so. I'm not saying it's your fault though,i appreciate you trying to help. Is there any other solution?

I heard something about resetting battery. Would that help?

Well. My charger broke just now. Maybe it was because of it? What charger should i get? 135W?

Acer always recommended customer to use the charge which came along wit the unit. So call Acer support with the SNID number so that they can give yu the part number of the charger. Check the below link to call Acer support

Yes that the power drain.
>> Try to perform a simple power reset and check the issue. Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Disconnect the external display. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device.The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop. If there is no pin hole then press and hold the power button on the unit for 12secs.
