Switching from Windows 10 64-bit to 32-bit

I regularly use a DOS-based program that runs well in 32-bit Windows but is very clunky to use in 64-bit (through DOSBox or similar). My laptop is new, so I have no data or loaded programs to worry about but I am concerned that reformatting the hard drive and loading Windows 10 32-bit will leave me without any Acer drivers that came pre-loaded. How do I best ensure that I can locate and reload all of these? If I use "Fresh Start" instead, can I load 32-bit or will it only re-load my existing 64-bit? Thank you.

    Hi @DOSman

You would need to clean install Windows 10 32bit. (this will wipe the hard drive completely) The licence you have for 64bit is also valid for 32bit so you don't need a key.

Use the Media Creation Tool and boot it from the media you have created and select to install 32bit of the edition you have. When asked for a key select Skip or Do this later or whatever allows you to move to the next step. You will also need to use the Custom install and delete all windows partitions.

To download all the acer softwares, use this link and download Acer care center, etc, by entering the SNID and Acer care center tab on the left pane.

Please click on "Yes" if this answered your question. Thank you. :)

Many thanks, Tachi13. I will try this over the weekend and report back but, from the detailed advice you have kindly provided, I do not foresee any problems.
