While trying to play Genshin Impact my notebook will shut down without warning and not properly. The screen goes black, fans turn off and its out. At first I thought it just couldn't handle the game but the same thing happened while running Osu. After looking at some other discussions here I thought I'd troubleshoot by playing on battery power and lo and behold I was able to run Genshin until the battery drained so I figure there's something up with the AC adapter. My BIOS is up to date and hasn't had any previous BIOS updates. I have tried disabling the AC adapter in the device manager as well as uninstalling it and letting windows reinstall it. It does not have the little button under the back panel. Running at normal temperatures, though I have tried playing with the fans on max to no avail. I'd rather not have to unplug it every time I want to play and end up killing my battery and anyway, Genshin wont run at 60fps unless it's plugged in. Is there anything else I should try?

Minecraft runs fine despite consuming more resources than Osu, even when playing with shaders so I'm not sure what the discrimination between programs is that shuts down my notebook.

I suggest you try to reinstall the game.
