I am trying to have my Aspire accept a Canon PIXMA MG3520 Printer. I have watch several videos and have device manager-Print Que (which the printer is not listed) but if I open the printer/scanner page the MG 3520 is visible but has driver unavailable. digging deeper it seems the computer recognizes the scanner portion but not the printer. the printer was a gift and its no loss on my part. Wondering what printers are compatible. Thanks

The printer is not recognized because the drivers may not have been installed correctly or not installed.

Please use this link to download the drivers for your printer and install them

Here is the link on how to setup the printer

    Hope this helps..

Hello Rudy! Thanks so much for your quick comment! I HAVE downloaded the link you provided before after setting up this Printer with Canon. Funny I never did that before and was just able to hook up via USB to my old computer and it worked. All seemed to go well until I tried to open the download and my Acer is giving me pro and con's of getting rid of the "S" mode. Do you thing the S mode is holding me back from downloading and opening certain apps? I toyed with keeping and or letting it go. For myself, I thought it would be a good thing for safety and security but if it will hold me back from simply downloading something that will make my life better...well.

Yes, Windows 10 S mode does not let you download apps apart from Microsoft store.. Keeping the unit in S mode is always a good choice (In terms of security) Again if you wish to come off the S mode to experience windows as usual then here are the steps to come off S mode.

    1. On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings  > Update & Security  > Activation.

    2. Find the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, then select the Go to the Store link.

Note: Don't select the link under Upgrade your edition of Windows. That's a different process that will keep you in S mode.

    3. On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or a similar page), select the Get button. After you confirm this action, you'll be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store.
