Hey,
I have Acer nitro 5 2019 version with GTX 1050 3GB, i-5 9300H. I've recently tried to run minecraft JAVA edition on it. The FPS is horrible (7-20), because the GPU usage is only at 5-20%. The CPU is not bottlenecking it for sure. Do you guys have any remedy for it?

In task manager does it show the integrated you being hammered?

Java Minecraft by default runs on the inbuilt gpu, you need to go into start - graphics settings - choose which processes use high performance graphics card

To set the right Java to use the right gpu, run Minecraft in a window, right click the process , open process location, and that's the exe which needs to be using the high performance you

If you have a laptop with Vega *and* an AMD 5x00 series this may not work, you also need to do some registry tweaks I can pull out later

Hey, it looks that the minecraft is using the dedicated gpu. The problem is that it's using only 10-20% of it which gives me the low fps. We need to force the gpu to work with higher usage. How to do it? Any idea?

It's happening even on the ultimate performance mode :/. It's single player local world.

Modded or vannilla? It could just be an overloaded CPU, minecraft is very heavy!

It's the new freshly installed java edition, 1.16.5, vanilla, without any mods.

The laptop is plugged in all the time, and set to work on the highest performance.
