Re-pasted the GPU & CPU, however my predator (PH315-51-50ST) is crashing/freezing when loading games

Hi all,
As you know thermal issues are common with this series. Undervolting had initially helped to keep the temps for CPU somewhat manageable (70-80C) under load. However recently it has been averaging 60-70C when idle. Hence decided to re-apply the thermal paste using the Kryonaut Thermal Grizzly. Initially I had issues in booting the laptop, but that was solved by cleaning the fans, replacing some of the thermal pads on the heatsink and ensuring it wasn't fastened too tightly.
The temps for the CPU now are a bit of an improvement from before, at idle its at 40-50°C and when stressing the CPU its at around 75-80°C. However now whenever I try and load any game, the system just freezes up (both video and audio freezes) forcing me to hard restart. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Run heaven or superposition benchmark and see if same problem occurs.

I used to DDU to uninstall my nVidia drivers and then reinstall it, after which I ran the benchmark. The benchmark ran for about 2-3 mins before the same issue occurred. There wasn't any problem with the rendering, ran smoothly before the sudden system freeze/crash.
