I am facing the issue that whenever I open the laptop i find chrome running on background even though i have disabled chrome from running in background. Chrome is using 98% of my CPU and unfortunately making my laptop very slow
I have in my laptop(Acer Predator Helios 300 2020):-
1.intel i7 10th gen
2.NVIDIA 2060 RTX 6 GB Graphics
3. Genuine Windows 10 Home ACTIVATED

I have done to solve the problem:-
1. Disabled chrome from running in background
2. Disabled chrome from startup
3. Disabled hardware acceleration for chrome
4. I have set chrome as default browser

but till the problem persists
You can see in the attached image that chrome is not open but still it is running 98% CPU. Please resolve this issue at the earliest and keep me informed about the status of the problem.

Thank You

Open chrome and hit shift+esc. This should bring up chrome's process monitor, wait for the usage to increase and see what's causing it

If it's an extension, uninstall it, if it's just the base process uninstall and reinstall :)

Wait are they all reading 0?  That's odd. If you right-click that chrome, and open process location where is it?
