Problem: Before, on connecting  to the headphone jack , RealTek Audio Console popup would come and on confirming it the headphones would play audio. Since 30 Jan 2021, when I connect the headphone, the popup appears but after confirming it, audio only plays from speakers. I cannot change output to headphones from settings only option available is "Speakers(R) Realtek Audio" . In the sound manager, the headphones show to be not plugged in, so I cannot enable/disable it.
On contacting acer support I was told to update my BIOS, and realtek drivers and then, do a reset of the system. As instructed, I did reset it, but surprisingly the problem is there. When I thought my jack is faulty, it works perfectly on using it with a Ubuntu live usb.

I cannot find any other solution online.

What should I do?

Found a not exact "solution" but well, it works. Frustrated, I uninstalled the Realtek Audio Console, got myself the latest drivers for realtek hd audio manager from station-drivers, ran the setup, and it works. Only difference, no popup from realtek audio console. If anyone else have a better solution, please feel free to give, will try it out.
