Sharing to Facebook doesn't work in non-facebook sites

When I am on a non-facebook site, like a news article and they have the icons on the article for sharing to Facebook, Twitter, etc. When I choose the Facebook icon, I see a brief flash on my screen but nothing gets shared. I usually see a pop-up box asking me if I want to share to my page or to my newsfeed. The Twitter icon works. How can I fix this or is this just a chromebook thing. Thanks!

    I would try using a differnt browser such as firefox see if that works, Chrome added some  privacy settings recently which broke a lot of functionality when you do things across sites

    That did work. Too bad I prefer Chrome browser. Seems weird that Facebook doesn't work yet linking to Twitter does. Thanks!
