Aspire A515-56: Trust Wireless Keyboard with mouse constantly "swallows" key presses

I connected a Trust Ximo Wireless Keyboard with Mouse (# 21132) via USB.
  • The keyboard constantly "swallows" key presses.
In particular after a short or long period of non-use the wireless connection is disrupted. It is then difficult to "get the keyboard to write" again.
  • This happens even with <1 m distance to the receiver, and in several different applications and text input situations (for example, password entry)
  • Batteries have already been replaced several times.
  • The receiver was operated as a test on the different USB interfaces available (USB 2, USB 3.0)
  • The USB charging function was also switched off as a test when the notebook is switched off to prevent the batteries from discharging quickly.
Does somebody has any idea?

Test it on another laptop to make sure the Ximo is not defective. Jack E/Nj

    Hi Jack,

I checked the Trust DeskSet connected to an older Aspire VN7-571G, it's working without any issues.
I also uninstalled and installed it again on my brandnew Aspire A515-56. The issue persists.
Suspect the main difference is on the A515-56
    • the aluminum casing
    • a different USB hub hard- and firmware
      Any idea how to proceed?

What happens when you press FN+F7 to turn off the touchpad? Jack E/NJ

Switching off the touchpad doesn't change the observed keyboard behavior, unfortunately.
