I am trying in install Ubuntu 20.04 on an Aspire 3. It has turned into a war of attrition. Initially I installed from the USB and found that the USB would not see the hard drive. I then twigged that closing the lid and re-opening would allow the drive to be seen and installed Ubuntu using the other option and re partitioning the drive in the process.
However, whenever I restart I'm getting a "Initramfs unpacking failed and that the UUID is not found (proc/cmdline has the correct UUID)
I am running out of ideas. Thoughts anyone?
