I have an acer Aspire Spin 5 that I was replacing a hinge on the screen, but when I put it all back together (yes, everything is plugged in correctly), it wouldn't start. Instead, I get blinking amber battery light. I've tried resetting the battery, and plugged it in, still won't start. Even unplugged, I try to turn it on and I get an LED code of 2 blinks, then a pause, then 1 blink. I do have a video of it but can't attach it here for viewing. Any ideas what else it could be?

Which model if Spin 5 do you have? It should be something like SP5xx-xxx-xxxx.

I've also tried bleeding the battery, no luck, tried plugging in power directly with battery disconnected, nothing.

OK, when you first took it apart did you disconnect the battery from the motherboard first thing after opening the case, or did you unplug anything else first? When you unplugged and plugged in connections, did the appropriate ones have that locking bar released first? If there is something not full seated in it's connector you might get these symptoms.

I didn't. The first thing I did was popped off the connectors for the screen, then the wifi cables, then unscrewed the hinges. As for the locking bar, it was only the LED ribbon that had the locking bar, and yes, the locking bar was released first. All of the cables had been disconnected and reconnected a few times to ensure they were seated properly

Is there an LED code for this thing when the battery light flashes 4 times?

I haven't seen anything with flash codes...
