I tried to install the latest bios update, but for some reason it failed. I have tried to make a Wincrisis usb and holding "fn+Esc" with no luck.
My question is: Is there any way of fixing this without doing a motherboard swap?
Thank you

What other problem were you trying to fix with the BIOS update? The FN+ESC cold boot method using a FAT32 stick with the Insyde FD binary rarely succeeds. My experience suggests only a 1 in 4 chance of working. You should try it multiple times before throwing in the towel. Some folks have reported success using an inexpensive eeprom programmer but very risky if you're not familiar with using them. Others bought preprogrammed chips for about $20 but they need to be soldered in place. ACER service usually charges about $100 to reprogram the chip on the same board. Jack E/NJ
