Hi! I have problem with my internet connection, however, running the troubleshooter does not give any results. Since my mobile phone and other devices have fast wifi all the time, and my pc (V3-571-53216G50Makk, running on windows 10) has variable internet speeds with sometimes fast and other times it does not get above 0.5 mbits for a few hours, I think it must be a problem with my wifi driver (Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless-netwerkadapter, 3.0.2.201). The driver updpate is from 2016 but does not have any new updates. When searching on the Acer site, I only get drivers recommended for windows 8 or lower, not for 10, which I use. Do I need a new driver? If so, where can I get the right one?

Thanks for your help in advance

Open Device Manager again. The right click wifi properties. Click advanced tab. Click preferred band. Try 5GHz band. Test again. If still drops speed, try 2.4GHz band. Jack E/NJ

Open Device Manager. Click network adapters folder. Right click and uninstall the wifi driver. Exit Device Manager without trying to reinstall anything. Shut down Windows normally. Then turn it back on and test speed again. Jack E/NJ

Thanks #JackE for your reply. I tried this and the first few minutes the internet was fast, however, it became slow again after 5 minutes, so it did not really work. Any other suggestions?

Thanks #JackE! This seems to be working, i guess my 2.4 GHz band is just slow? However, thank you, my internet is working again!

Congrats. It's more likely the antenna is tuned better to 5GHz than 2.4GHz. Jack E/NJ
