Memory Compatibility Acer Aspire TC-281 EB11

So I had purchased a stick of ram in hopes of upgrading my TC-281 but it failed to post (either with the included 8GB stick or by itself). It was Corsair Value-select DDR4 2400mhz 8gb single gang RAM which should have worked (and posted fine in my ASUS Prime X570-P).  I looked everywhere for a QVL for this machine but I can't find one. I was able to return the RAM for a refund but was basically told without a QVL they wouldn't' even guess at working ram for this system... to quote them "It's a total crapshoot with pre-made factory machines".  Any ideas?

I normally cheat and get it from userbenchmark:

You can browse through all the tests, get the one which matches your CPU and see what other people have had success with :)

Strangely I couldn't find a single stick that was mentioned in the benchmarks for sale anywhere in Canada. My guess is most of the benchmarked ram was OEM specific ram.

Bugger, only thing i can think of is maybe the voltage on the included sticks is very low, does CPUz report anything odd about it?

Here is the memory specs for the TC-281 models:
The DDR4 2400 should have worked fine... but the order is important:
