Hello everyone,

So I am pretty sure that this question has been asked here before..probably multiple times too.....But I just want to know if there are any recent developments regarding this..i.e, is there any way to reduce the RAM allocated to Vega 8 GPU from 2GB to maybe 512MB or something?

2GB is way too much since that VEGA is effectively running just Windows and nothing else. Is there anything I can do regarding this?

If you're only running Windows and modest apps  it won't make much difference releasing 1.5GB RAM except maybe slow up screen refresh, redraw & response.  What's your full ACER model number? For example, E5-476??? Jack E/NJ

The full model number is A715-41G...I use it for gaming mostly. Thats why I am asking...1.5GB can make a difference for me... ;)

If used primarily for gaming then 2GB VRAM is desireable. If you need more RAM, then it's better to add bigger RAM modules, not try to reduce VRAM.  Jack E/NJ

For gaming I have a dedicated GPU(GTX 1650) with 4GB VRAM. I am being bottlenecked because of the RAM since most of the games' min requirement is 8GB nowadays. I guess there is no other solution other than to add another stick of RAM...Anyway thanks a lot for your help.

Yep. Pretty soon 16GB will be min. So a 32GB kit should keep you going for another year or so.  :)     Good luck. Jack E/NJ
