Fans aren't spinning, wires are messed up (Acer Nitro 5)

I've had my laptop for a while and I've been using it for minimal-ish stuff like photoshop, vegas 14, and occasionally a few games with some friends. My fans have stopped working before for a few days but after a while they just started working again so I didn't think much of it, but recently they've stopped working again and they still haven't come back on. I took apart the laptop today to see the red wire for the gpu fan was separated from the fan. (I didn't see anything wrong with the cpu though.) I don't 100% know if this is the cause of the problem because occasionally throughout the week the fans would work momentarily, though I'm still hoping this is it. I don't know if I'm going to have to solder it together and if so I'm still pretty new to that, so any help would be appreciated. I can't provide any of my own photos yet but I'll try to add some sooner or later.

Red and black are power and ground, the other two are speed sense and speed control. If the red wire is disconnected it certainly won't work... Just drop a replacement fan in if you are out of warranty or have Acer fix it for you if you are still in warranty and haven't caused the issue yourself.
