Why would a brand new AC14 B8K battery and brand new charger fail to charge? Nitro 5 AN515-42

Seriously poor battery functioning on the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-42 Gaming Notebook - (AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, AMD Radeon RX 560X 4G, 15.6" FHD IPS Display, Black).

This has caused nothing but extreme annoyance since I bought this laptop in Oct 2019 for my son. I have had to order 2 new psu's since this time.

The issue now is that after ordering a brand new charger AND a brand new AC14 B8K battery, the laptop fails to charge at all.
After dancing through the most ridiculous hoops, taking batteries out, putting pins in and holding them for x secs, repeating mundane processes, holding power buttons down for x secs and ultimately reading many (and some unresolved) posts about procedures, power cycles, and battery power issue failures, I conclude - with justification - that this product is just sub-standard. Do you have to go this nonsense through with a Dell? HP? Asus? No you do not. I even saw one response from an Acer staff member that chastised the poor purchaser to not RTFM'ing the correct battery-power procedures. I saw another that suggested that you NEVER play games on a gaming laptop on battery!

I stronly recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing a Nitro 5 AN515-42 Gaming Notebook does not.

I have done all your procedures and they do not work. Do not tell me to RTFM. I hope you can see from this post that I am at my wits end with your low grade tech and daft procedures and I am hoping against hope that you can supply me with a straightforward, decent answer that results in an actual resolve that works.
