What is the cause of this problem acer aspire 5

My acer aspire 5 wont turrn of but when i start it the acer logo appears then it turn off and then 1 beep sound appear.

    When it turns off, remove the charger. Then insert a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole on the bottom for about 30 seconds. Then plug the charger back in. Wait till the battery charge LED turns from steady orange to steady blue. Then try to turn it on again. Jack E/NJ
