I have a AN515-54-54W2, its missing the metal plate and screw which help hold down the NVMe drive, as shown in the pictures. I need help where can I purchase the plate and screw. Do they have the part on amazon or can I only purchase through Acer?

It seems like there is a drive under it already. Take the one screw out, it should be okay; the metal one seems to be just a cover over the drive based on the pictures.

That should be optional. On both my Predator and Nitro the drives are put on without any metal plates. One side goes into the slot, and the other side is held securely by a screw (and your picture shows the screw present).

What screw do you see that I dont? Should I remove the top metal plate and use that screw and completely remove all the metal plates? (the plate im talking about is the one holding the the metal slip down) and it is safe to completely remove all the metal plates?

You are good mate, at the bios level. When adding a new hard disk to the laptop for the very first time, you would need to import it under disk management. Only then it would be visible under your hard disks.

@Jerod I just got a Nitro 7 that has two M.2 slots. One has a drive in it and the other is empty. But... both have the metal plates on them. I took out the empty one and it has a heat sinkpad underneath. Also the speeds on this drive are higher than that the one I had on my Predator (and I never had any heat sink on this).
So if you plan to use it without the metal plate (heat sink), try to see what temps the drive reaches and validate this against the temperature range of the drive (from its specs). That should give you a fair idea if you really need a heat sink or not.
Sorry buddy, but this is the best I could suggest.
