I still can't update, and version 1803 is now out of service.

When I try to do just the update, it says:
"Your version of Windows has reached end of service. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 to get the latest features and security improvements."

I've tried using powershell and restarting the services. I've tried using MS Update Assistant, I've just doing the update in Windows Update. I've reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers. I get errors. When I use update assistant through Microsoft, it just tells me it's not supported. People love to complain about Apple and Mac O/S, but for all it's worth, at least they don't have routine basic manitenance and update problems. I'm pretty technically inclined, but try and walk through this process and it explain it to my older mother, who has the same laptop. Acer isn't making any friends designing ***** like this.

Did you try downloading the Windows 10 .iso file and making a bootable USB drive with it? Then you can upgrade windows by running the setup inside windows.
