We only used this chromebook 3 months before it stopped charging. I see we are not the only ones with this issue. Is there a recall on these? If not there should be. This is sad. We purchased for school use in may it stopped working by june. I can not find anywhere to get it repaired. Where I can I take this to get it repaired. Thank you

You can contact Acer support for your locale and they'll get you fixed up. There are several things that can cause charging problems and they affect all models, but rarely. The charger itself can have gone bad, the battery can have gotten so low it will no longer take a charge, The battery can get confused as to what's it's charge level is, which makes it report to the system that it's dead, or the circuit that takes the incoming DC power and send it to the battery might be bad.
If you have a battery reset hole on your model then the first step is to try and reset the battery, assuming that the third option is the case. Disconnect power, shut the laptop off completely, then press and hold the reset for 15-30 seconds. Release the button and wait 15-30 minutes for all residual power to bleed off. Reconnect the charger and wait for the full battery indication, then turn it on. If that was the issue it should act normal again.
The other options are best handled by Acer, though if you are out of warranty we can go through them to try and get it fixed...

I will look for the battery reset hole. It will not power on or show any lights even when plugged in. It is out of warranty when I put in the serial number.  My fault as I had health issue arise and getting it fixed was put on back burner now school is out again. I cant get it repaired. I can't find anywhere locally to take it. Thank you for replying.
