I have a Acer predator helios 300.

I just bought a benQ monitor but i can't figure out how to turn on the 144hz refresh rate (the monitor supports it).

I was wondering is it a limitation of my hdmi cable and should i switch to a display port ? (Connecting it through the display port mini on the laptop).

Specs:
Predator helios 300 (2019 edition)
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060
Core i7 9th Gen
16Gb RAM

I need help i'm kinda freaking out.

Turns out after further research my hdmi cable is outdated so i'll get a DP but the question still stands. I've seen some people say they're stuck at 60hz

    Hi @noqqen

Yes you should try a display port cable to achieve the high refresh rates in monitors.

Hope it will help you in some way.
