I have an issue with the stuck keys - my Q, T, and the number pad 5 will not work properly. I have to hold the key down with alot of pressure for it to work. I think the power button has fallen into the same category now. I've read the only way to get this issue fixed is replacing the keyboard - but is there an alternate way to turn the laptop on? I've tried remapping an external keyboard, but that wasn't successful, as the power needs to be applied for the external to be recognized. Thanks.

There should be an option on BIOS setup to turn the computer on when power is connected - I've never done it on a laptop though, take a look under power options / ACPI options on bios setup.
