Change to Coreboot BIOS - Swift 3 Ultra-thin | SF315-52G

After having looked here: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/565162/change-hdd-to-ssd-swift-3-ultra-thin-sf315-52g/, and also after having updated the BIOS, I had the same solution as the poster. There seems to be no way to install a 1GB SSD on this thing.

Has anyone tried to change the BIOS on the the Swift 3 Ultra-thin | SF315-52G? Does it work with Coreboot? This would be my best guess in order to get the SSD option working. The issue here is that the BIOS is blocking larger SSD disks. But is this model going to be compatible with Coreboot?

What BIOS are you running on your sf315-52g? As updating BIOS has nothing to do with running an SSD and is only to fix the appropriate things that a BIOS update fixes! Also, updating the BIOS with an update like the "ER5EA_V1.08.EXE" is a simple BIOS update of the latest v1.08 BIOS and has nothing to do with and to accomodate a 1TB to 4TB SSD's, as a GPT/UEFI BIOS accommodates these SSD drives! Also and after installing your SSD run the "TRIM" command (within Win-10) to improve performance of your SSD within Win-10 and you don't need "Coreboot"!

I am running BIOS 1.08 and it does not recognize any SSD in the main slot. It simply wont boot. Also I am running Ubuntu 20.04

It's most likely an Intel rst optane issue, although I'm curious about the result of installing coreboot bios
