I purchased an Acer Predator Helios 300(Predator PH-315-52) laptop on Flipkart. Recently, my laptop was taken to the service centre 2 months back for a display issue fix... After receiving it from the service centre, I found 2 major faulty issues...
Firstly, the CPU is overheating, the temperature under ideal conditions when no apps are running in the background touches 93°C and CPU temperature is most of the time above 75°C under ideal conditions... I performed a stress test and found out that CPU is thermal throttling as well as power throttling. I have shared a screenshot below of the stress test.
Secondly, on pressing the power button, the display turns on after 22 secs, that's too slow... I mean when I press the power button, the keyboard lights up then but the display turns on after 22 secs, i.e. The Predator logo appears 22 secs later, after powering on. That's too slow responsiveness!!!
The Service Centre Technician & the Level 3 Regional Technical Head denies assistance stating these are normal on gaming notebooks and Acer Predator Helios 300 laptops in particular but to me which actually is abnormal. These are just dumb excuses they are putting on in front of me or they have no idea about Acer Predator Helios 300 (2019-20) models. They straightaway told me they are gonna stick to their point no matter what I state. I'm not a dumb guy after all... Earlier the Service Technician visited 6 to 7 times in my location and tried to fix these issues but couldn't. After lodging these issues, the Service Centre Technician visited 6 to 7 times and tried to fix the issue but couldn't. This was ongoing for 2 months. The technician visits my location in days intervals, changes parts( he has changed the display panel, replaced the motherboard, processor, applied thermal paste, added thermal pads, changed keyboard deck & so on...)  then closes the case, that's all... And I repeatedly lodged complaints and they continued the same process but never fixed my problems. Moreover, these are after service faults, these faulty issues were never there on my laptop before giving it for servicing. These issues are all new after I received my laptop from the service centre. Now when these issues were forwarded to the Regional Technical head, he’s saying these are no faulty issues at all when they are actually big issues. It is a premium gaming laptop, no joke... They are closing the cases on their will without my concern and without any fixes citing these are common and not faulty. They are not ready to help me out at all and in the meantime, one year warranty of my laptop ended….I have given them all the proofs still, they are not admitting these are actually problematic issues...
Someone pls explain to them that these are real faulty issues and need a fix… I requested for a replacement since they couldn’t fix these issues even after multiple tries. The high temperature, thermal & power throttling, too slow bootup... are no issues to them and they are just lying as well as neglecting... What should I do to take action against them? The higher authority is not admitting the issues at all... Such a disgrace... Pls, help me out...
