Acer swift SF314-57G externam monitor problem

Hi,
Every time while external monitor is connected to laptop the screen switches automatically to it. Doesn't matter what settings are chosen. Even when laptop main screen is set up as primary. Laptop has 2 gpu (iris plus and mx350). Monitor is iiyama ge2288hs.

    By "switches automatically to it" do you means the Desktop icons move over to the external, or the Start menu moves over, or your mouse pointer moves over, or ...? What does it act like if the monitor is already attached before you boot the system?

    It means that laptop screen goes off and all content switches to external monitor. It could also try to intercept the signal back, but after few seconds screen turns off and only monitor is on. I tried other laptop and this problem doesn't exist but from other hand side when i connect acer to other external screen (LCD 40'' TV) everything work as designed. When the monitor is attached and power on before i boot the system it will automatically intercept the signal but if is attached and on low consumption mode the laptop display will turn on and monitor remain off. I hope we can find solution to this problem.

    With the monitor connected, what does Windows-P show as the mode?

    When the monitor is connected Windows says "Show only on 2".... When i change to "Show only on 1" the system will try to do so but eventually wont be successful and signal will go back to external monitor.

    Switch to Extend mode and see if that works more like you expect.

    Extend mode or duplicate is not an issue. My main concern was that i can't use laptop display while external monitor is connected and power on. Anyway thank you for trying. I believe this issue is more complex than i expected.

    Extend mode will use both displays.

    True. But i wanted to use laptop display and switch to external only on my demand. Right now i can't control it and that's why I'm seeking for solution.
