    Hi everyone,

I know this is an old thread but really needing some advice. I have an acre aspire XC-780 (2016) which I upgraded the graphics card but looking to switch my current hardrive (1TB) to an ssd if possible or a replacement one as mines really dying now 😂. Any advice? & Would a computer shop be able to fit one?

Sure, you can put in a M.2 SATA SSD in whatever size your budget allows. Having a local technician do it for you usually means they get all the files swapped over cleanly. You can do it yourself, but it's usually easier to let them do it.

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely do that - Just looked on amazon and found a kingston one - hopefully someone can fit it- does it need any more power supply?

Just be sure it's an M.2 SATA, not an M.2 NVMe... No more power needed, these drives use almost none.
