Halooo! I'm planning to upgrade my laptop's storage and currently, my laptop has a 1TB HDD and a 128 GB A400 Kingston SSD. I'm fairly new to computer hardware so I want to know if there would be a third slot for a storage drive so I could add another one instead of replacing my current storage drives and if it has one, would it support NVMe? I plan to buy an A2000 Kingston NVMe for my additional storage drive.

  • Hi,
You have only one M.2 SSD slot in this model and if you want to upgrade storage you have to replace current M.2 SSD with a larger M.2 NVMe SSD.

Oh okay thank you for the advice, but while I was waiting for an answer, I read from other threads that said that NVMe might not work to their full potential or they might be nerfed or not function at all. Will it be true for my model and device? Because I'm interested to get one because it will also be a great help for my programming and video editing projects. A

And some threads discussed that there were installation and BIOS problems when they tried setting up their NVMe (specifically the Samsung 970 Evo, I think)
