It started from when the laptop froze with a static noise a couple of times when I played some heavy games and the temperatures went up. I thought it's time to clean up the vents and apply a new thermal compound but before I could do that, the laptop failed to turn on one day. On pressing the power button, the LED will flash for about a second before turning back off. After looking at some of the suggestions in this community, I tried resetting the battery by pressing on the hole for around 20 secs and that worked one time but the laptop went back to not turning on the next time. When it did turn on, once it froze, the other time windows went into BSOD with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR error code. I took it to Acer authorized service center and the guy immediately said it is because the keyboard has short-circuited without opening the laptop. He opened it and disconnected keyboard to manually power it on and it turned on. He said the keyboard needs replacement but since I had some work so I said I'll do it on a later date. After he gave me the laptop, it turned on twice and now it's not turning on again. Whenever the laptop did turn on, all keys were working correctly and I've never faced prior keyboard issues so I'm not quite sure this is a keyboard issue so I'm here to know what you all think about this. I'm skeptical that they're just claiming it's the faulty keyboard to charge me higher as my laptop is not under warranty.
