Hello folks. I just inherited a Helios 300 G3-571 as a work trade, and had to install my own version of Windows 10 Pro on it. It runs well, it's fast, and frankly I like it. But I can't for the life of me get PredatorSense installed. I scoured the internet all day looking for solutions, but so far either nothing worked, or the information was obsolete and links were long dead.

Here's the facts:

- I've downloaded the PredatorSense v2 direct from the Acer product page for this machine. No luck, won't install.
- I've downloaded a v3 package from another discussion thread here, no luck, won't install.
- On someone's suggestion, I downloaded a v1 package, and that worked! But whoah it's outdated. And doesn''t _quite_ work right.
- I tried to wrap my brain around the very minimal and mostly incomprehensible "just use HxD and it works!" instructions, but the steps are unclear.
- I checked my msinfo and my "System Model" shows only G3-571. Nothing I've been able to do has changed it, and I've edited every registry entry possible, no luck.
- I downloaded and installed the latest BIOS from the product page, version 1.22. That worked, but didn't help this issue.

I'm not sure what else to try. Any suggestions are most welcome. Thanks!

After a whole lot more searching I'm pretty sure the problem is the BIOS name. I have no idea why it would not show the full name, but the missing "Predator" component seems to be the breaking point.

I've looked for tools to edit the bios directly, but am not finding anything compatible with this model.

Does anyone else have experience with this issue? Any pointers? Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
