So as the title suggests I have an issue where my monitor doesn't wake up on exit from eg. sleep mode.
Notebook: Acer Nitro V AN-515-55 -
NH.Q7QED.007
BIOS: V1.08
Windows 10 64bit 20H2
Nvidia 457.30
Intel Graphics
27.20.100.8935 External monitor: Svive PYX34C601 34" panel running over HDMI @ ~100hz
So I'll give a small scenario to replicate the issue:
- The external monitor is on and shows output.
- I put the notebook to sleep
- Notebook and external Monitor starts sleeping
- I wake up the notebook by pressing the power button
- The notebook wakes up, the external monitor wakes up.
- I see windows output on the Notebook monitor, but the external monitor shows no output, it displays "NO SIGNAL", and goes into sleep mode again.
- I restart the external monitor
- The external monitor shows output
I tried using:
- 2 different Nvidia drivers off the Acer page
- 2 intel drivers off the Acer page
- Latest Intel driver
- Latest Nvidia driver
Turned off link-state energy management in power scheme settings.
Tried 2 different HDMI cables, tried without a USB-C hub, encountered the same issue.
The monitor works on my 2 Dell machines and my Asus machine, all notebooks:
- Dell 1: Windows - Native HDMI
- Dell 2: Ubuntu 20.04 - Over USB-C hub adapter
- Asus: Ubuntu 20.04 - Native HDMI
I have narrowed this down to an Acer specific issue as I cannot find anything else that fixes this problem.
Please help
