So I've been using this PC for awhile as my media server and today I grabbed a PCI-e M.2 Adapter to swap my SATA SSD to the PCI to free up a SATA slot. When I have the PCI in the LAN stops working, the LAN lights up and blinks but Windows can't find the network, if I take the PCI card out then it finds the LAN just fine, anyone have any ideas what's going on?

I wonder if the card is usurping the address block the Ethernet normally uses? If you bring up properties on the card there is usually a list of resources used.

What should I be looking for in properties?

I've gone through just about everything and can't find any resource tab

That's the properties on the drive, not on the PCI card... The drive doesn't use any PCI addressing, but the card should. I'm guessing it's conflicting with the ethernet port's addresses.

Ok so is there a way to fix the conflict?

It depends on the card design... Back in the day they had jumpers to do that, then it turned into software utilities, but I don't know if they're still doing that.
