Hello,
I have Acer Aspire1 10inches XP operated laptop.
Windows failed to start, I see black screen with following message:

"Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as:
Load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support person to report this problem."

Where I can post help topic request?
I found laptops help forum, but there is no "new topic"button or something ... pretty confusing.

Thank you so much JackE for your reply! I do appreciate it a lot!
On a sticker at the bottom of a laptop I see following numbers:

Aspire one 532n-2Bb, MFG Date: 1001
S/N LUSAL02132XXXXX ( since there is scratches on a sticker, I'm not sure "2" is the exact digit )
    SNID: XXXXX

Numbers from the Windows sticker ( if they can help the exact product identification ):
    Windows XP Home Edition ULCPC
    Acer Incorporated
    CO.3A201.061
    00043-118-339-060
    X12-51823

This Acer Aspire laptop is great and I love it, that why I want to fix those software issues.
Thanks once again for your support!

Try this. Press and hold power button till machine shuts off. Then turn it back on and immediately start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS menu. In the BIOS INFORMATION tab do you see a HDD identified? If yes, go to the BIOS MAIN tab and make sure the F12 and D2D options are enabled. The press F10 to save BIOS settings and exit. If the machine still doesn't boot, then press and hold the power button again till the machine shuts off. Then turn it back on again and immediately press the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear. Follow directions to refresh your operating system while saving your personal files. Jack E/NJ

Hello Jack E/NJ, thanks once again for your reply.

I follow your advices step by step.
BIOS options was as you mentioned above, however I pressed F10 to save and exit.

When I swithched off and started the laptop again, holding Alt and tapping F10, I saw the following screen:

    Edit Boot Options
Edit Windows boot options for: Windows Setup
    Path:\Windows\System32\boot\winload.exe
    [ /DETECTHAL/MININT/REDIRECT RDIMAGEOFFSET=8192 RDIMAGELENGHT=3161088R
    DPATH=multi(0) disk(0) rdisk(0) partition(1)\sources\boot.win

This screen freeze on a display and nothing happend.

After 2-3 switching off/on I suceed to get Acer recovery manager.
I chose my files to be kept as back-ups.
After some minutes I got message that there is no available space and restore manager quit me back to DOS black screen from my first post.
Now I cant get Acer recovery manager at all, I see the frozen screen mentioned above:

    Edit Boot Options
Edit Windows boot options for: Windows Setup
    Path:\Windows\System32\boot\winload.exe
    [ /DETECTHAL/MININT/REDIRECT RDIMAGEOFFSET=8192 RDIMAGELENGHT=3161088R
    DPATH=multi(0) disk(0) rdisk(0) partition(1)\sources\boot.win

Do you have idea how to proceed?
Looks like it's impossible to back-up my presently existing files.

    Thanks for your support.

Sounds like your hard drive is full and can't save your personal files. The ALT+F10 cold boot method sometimes has to be re-tried two or three times to get to the recovery screen. Try this. Press and hold the power button till the laptop shuts off. Then remove the charger and the battery pack. Then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. Then replace the battery and the charger. Then turn the laptop on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key to see if the recovery screen re-appears. You may have to do a full factory reset if your hard drive is full. You will then lose all your personal files. The only possible way around this is to remove and connect your hard drive to another computer's USB port and move the personal files onto another drive. Then try a full factory reset on the hard drive. Jack E/NJ

    Hello JackE,
    thanks for your reply.

I removed the bottom covers and I found where is the hard drive and way to remove it.
On a hard drive there is no standard USB ports. What kind of cable I need?
If all this is caused by virus, can I transfer virus to another laptop when I reconnect the Acer's hard drive?

As I said above, I removed both covers from the bottom of the laptop, but can not see the battery pack.
Where this battery pack is located and how to reach it?
Just for this 10" laptop I do not have Idea where is battery located, it is not like on a bigger laptops.

Thanks for your support once again.

Aye!!! The battery pack is external on the bottom and should be removed before opening the laptop to avoid zapping internal components. You need a 2.5" HDD-to-USB adapter cable (less than $10) like this one https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Adapter-Cable-Support-Black/dp/B07S9CKV7X/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=2.5+usb+to+hdd+adapter&qid=1607177766&sr=8-1

This will allow you to take your personal files off the drive. You should have a virus scanner running on the other laptop as a precaution.

    Hello JackE,

thanks for your reply and support.

Next week I'll disconnect HDD and I'll visit a computer hardware store to find the cable you advice me.
I think if this cable is included in standard laptop package that would be great ( like on digital cameras ).
Thanks to picture you posted above, I succeed to remove battery, if there is an arrow engraved somewhere at the bottom of the laptop showing the direction of battery removal, that'll be great too.

Since you are into computer stuff a lot, can you please tell what is the reason this issue to appear?

    Kind regards.

It is a very old laptop and the most likely reason is that the HDD is starting to fail. Jack E/NJ
