I don't see much benefit in doing this. It won't have much effect on battery life despite what some folks might claim. In high load  games where both the charger and battery must be used to meet total power demands, the battery is actually draining/not charging even though it's plugged in. So starting these heavy loads with only an 80% charged battery will only limit game playing time till the system automatically starts to throttle so it can start charging the battery again when it drops below about 50% charge level. Without coolboost, CPU temperature is about 40*C minimum to about 80*C maximum. GPU temperatures is about 30*C to 70*C. Coolboost will lower temperatures but fans will be louder and use more energy. Jack E/NJ

You may or may not have the coolboost installed in your ACER QuickAccess package. Search your Windows start menu. But I doubt that your system needs it. Jack E/NJ

yes you are right but the coolboost feature is available to gaming laptops like nitro or predator laptops as this feature is not available to ultra thin laptops like swift or aspire series well thanks a lot for giving me the answers . as this helps a lot to use the laptop more safely . thanks JackE. from now onwards i will disable the charge limit .
