When you use your brand new laptop 3 times and the USB port decides to stop working....

I bought his laptop recently, in October. I have only used it a few times and in those few times 1 of the 3 USB ports has stopped functioning. It appears to have surged and no longer reads information. Furthermore, the port shorted into the USB receiver for my mouse, and the port has since fused with the receiver. Now I cannot even recover the receiver for my wireless mouse because of this. The receiver for my mouse is wireless and does not provide any power to the laptop itself, thus it would have to be the laptop that caused the receiver to fuse and break. Not t mention, with the receiver in the port itself was not reading any data. I'm disappointed given the fact that this laptop is new, has ben consistently unplugged or plugged into surge protectors, and it has still managed to surge. I don't think this should be an issue with a laptop that's been used 3 or 4 times. I'm also super irritated because every time I go in to put a request ticket for assistance it tells me my SNID is invalid or that a ticket has already been put in. I hate how these large companies are more focused on giving you the run around than offering you assistance when their quality has come into question.
