Steady decrease in full charge capacity Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52

Hi guys,

My Acer Nitro 5 full charge capacity has been steadily decreasing since early October.

I have also calibrated the battery around October 5-6. For some reason battery report and other software don't show my cycle counts.

I used multiple battery software and they all show the same results of battery wear level. I finished my first calibration cycle last night and currently recharging it for the second cycle. Battery health dropped from 83.6 yesterday to 82.6 today, same goes for the wear level, results show it increased from 16.3% to 17.3%.

This steady decrease in full charge capacity worries me, should I get a replacement? It's only been 5 months since I first bought the laptop.

Hi,
It's nothing to be concerned, 17% after 5-6 months looks fine for me, you can reduce the battery wear level by disabling some background apps running, you can go to Task scheduler and disable Acer Care centre running at the background, you don't need Acer Care centre always starting when you switch on the laptop.

Wear level has increased after the 3 calibration cycles, it's now 26% today. Does the warranty cover the battery replacement?
