Hi, I own an Aspire 3 A315-21.
I have owned this laptop for about a year or so, not long at all. Today ( Wednesday 18th November ) I have turned on my laptop as normal and opened some work I had made previously. The screen began to flicker and it made the mouse stop working too. I let my laptop drain battery to see if it would fix the issue but when i went to turn it back on the screen never came back on. The blue lights turned on as well as the fan but no screen.

I had the same issue twice already and brought the same laptop again! ( silly me ). Now, this issue has happened again and I now see a pattern in these laptops. They last a year and about November the screen stop working.

I’ve tried many things already but nothing works. Sticking a pin in the back doesn’t work nor does pressing f6. I really don’t have the money to go out and buy a new laptop so, what should I do?? please help me !   :(

Reboot your A315-21 and go into the BIOS> Exit > Load Setup Defaults, see if that fixes the problem. As you shouldn’t have let the battery discharge when you had” The screen began to flicker and it made the mouse stop working” you should have rebooted the laptop straight away. Reinstall your primary graphic driver (Intel or AMD) as there could be a problem there, try that
