touchpad and keyboard do not work

Hi, I have just re-installed Windows 10 on an ACER Aspire E1-572 S/N NXMHFEK004411083333400. Replacing the screen did something to Windows 10 and it would not boot. The Automatic Repair process could not fix it. Other repair options either did not work or were not possible because there were no backups or snapshots. Eventually I decided to re-install from a freshly created Install Media USB stick. It mostly worked after some driver updates.

I am left with 2 problems that I suspect are to do with drivers for the Serial Bus and/or Elan Touchpad.
Problem 1) Following a cold boot (Power Supply Off, remove battery, press Power for 10-20 seconds then replace battery and power supply) the keyboard does not work. But if you open up the on-screen keyboard then the real keyboard works. On subsequent warm boots, the real keyboard continues to work. Device manager is not showing any problems with the keyboard.

Problem 2) The Elan Trackpad does not work at all. In Device Manager the Elan Trackpad has a yellow ! and the message "The device did not start". Checking the driver tells me that it is the latest driver.

I'll be grateful if anyone can help with these problems.
