I have an Acer Aspire V3-575G that won't properly go into sleep and hibernate mode. I suspect a problem with the drivers is causing the issue, but I cannot find my way to the right combination of drivers. I found on the internet some threads that lead to the Intel Management Engine Interface driver, but this driver is not provided on the Acer website drivers page. I tried to downgrade the MEI driver to 9.5, 10 or even update it to newer versions.

I did try a lot of things before turning to this community:
  • Use the provided drivers on the Acer website
  • Used most up-to-date drivers as provided by different manufactures (Intel, Nvidia, Atheros etc.)
  • Tried isolating the problem using Windows Clean Boot
  • Tried turning on/off the sleep/hibernate and fast boot options in W10.
  • Resetting power plans
  • Even did a clean, fresh installation of W10.
Not using the sleep mode, only using hibernation seems to be most succesful, but occasionaly the computer freezes when going into hibernation. Going from screen-off into hibernation / sleep is always giving problems. This did me think of the intel VGA driver, but also up/downgrading this has not been a full 100% solution.

I would be very glad to get some usefull tips/tricks or drivers.
