Hello everyone,
here's my problem :
I've a Predator Helios 300 since
november 2019, so it's quite new. Its screen stopped working in june
2020, but since the laptop was still working, I just used my TV
screen instead and kept using it until september, when everything
stopped working.
I contacted the Acer technical support,
sent them my laptop and got it back a month later. In the
intervention rapport, it says they changed the screen and the
motherboard.
I got it back two weeks ago, and the
screen and pc works again. However, now, it keeps restarting randomly
through the day. It can happen while I'm playing, but can also happen
while I'm just on Youtube or even just writting. Sometimes it happens
just a couple of time a day, and then it will happen three times an
hour. Sometimes I get a blue screen saying that Windows got a
problem, sometimes I just get nothing. I happens even when my CPU
isn't hot. It's just completely random.
I've to admit I'm not a pro, but I
checked my drivers and they all seem updated. I've seen online that
the problem could be from my BIOS, which is 1.12. Yet, I didn't have
any of these problems before I had to send my laptop to the tech
support, so maybe they installed the BIOS 1.12 and now it gives me
issues with drivers. I don't know.
Does anyone have an idea about where it
comes from ? How to fix it ? Or at least, how to figure out
what the problem is ?
Because it's getting really frustrating
and tiring to pay so much for a laptop like that, and having so much
problems with it within the first year...
Thanks!
