My 2 days old Nitro 5 (1660 ti variant)  heating from 90-95c when playing Nba 2k20 and even Dota 2.
I use MSI afterburner to monitor CPU and GPU temperature in-game. I also use HWMonitor to confirm but temp changes drastically as I minimize the game.
I tried Coolboost and maximizing cpu fan thru Nitrosense, but still not giving me reduced temp. I have a cooling pad too and my room is airconditioned.

I don't want to undervolt or even repaste the thermal since it was purchased just 2 days ago. Should I return or send this to Acer for checking or replacement?

Here is the spec.
Nitro AN515-54
Intel core i5-9300H 2.4ghz
Gtx 1660 ti
Windows 10 Home single language - 1903 (18362.267 build)
Bios ver 1.28

    @GAMING6698 thank you.

    Just to let you know, it is no longer reaching above 80c. This is weird. I tested since last night with 2k20  in ultra mode without cooling boost, I was able to get max 80c but usually at 77c. 72c if cooling boost is turned on. Super weird, all I did is just adjust the CPU processing power to 99% (Power option - power management). It is weird since with first  the attempt (80% reduced cpu), I was not able to see any improvement (still stays at 95c) that is why I decided to post here. Then I tried it again after posting this, adjusted it first at 60% and temp reduced to 55c but too laggy. Adjusted it to 80% and it was ok then (about 60c). Now I am testing it at 99% with 80c max.

    I just don't know what happened there but it works.
