Hi, i have a acer aspire E5-575G-53L6, I want to upgrade but am not sure what is the correct type of ram and ssd to buy. I have 8Gb of ram, upgradable to 32. When i went to task manager to check, under performance it says 2133mhz sodimm 1 of 4 slots used, but when i opened the cover at the back i saw only 2 slots for the ram. ( I am totally confused) Also it has 1TB hdd and a kingston 128 ssd.( Kingston RBU-SNS8280S3 / 128GH2 128 GB M.2 2280 Solid State Module SSD ) I am not sure which one it can upgrade too. Does the ssd have to be the M.2 2280 sata 3 or can it be the faster ones like ddr4 3200 mhz. There is a vertical white line appearing at the right hand side of the monitor as well. still works pretty well but want to sort out before it completely gives up. Can a touchscreen monitor be installed on this laptop and where is the best place to buy it from.
thanks
please advise.

You have only two, not 4, replaceable RAM sockets. It should have either one 8GB DDR4 sodimm module or two 4GB DDR4 modules from the factory. You can add any combination of two DDR4 modules 2133MHz or faster up to two 16GB DDR4 modules for a total of 32GB RAM. The 1TB 2.5" HDD can be replaced with just about any 2.5" SSD up to about 2TB with no issues.

The 128GB Kingston SSD, presumably your boot drive, can also be replaced with just about any m.2 SATA SSD card up to about 2TB also with no issues. The faster m.2 NVME (not DDR4) cards are notoriously a bit more finicky and expensive than the m.2 SATA cards. To see if an m.2 nvme MIGHT be advantageous for your machine, you should download and run HWinfo64 freeware and check if at least one of your PCIe busses is listed as version 3 with 2X or 4X link widths. If 2X, an m.2 NVME will operate at about twice the speed of an m.2 SATA; 4X four times faster.

Only the T and TG models came with the touchscreen, part no. AUO B156XTK01.0. They might work on the G model but you must first determine if you have a 30 or 40 pin LCD mainboard connector since the G model mainboards vary for both touch and non-touch screens. Google the part no. for vendors that ship to your location. As an aside, the vertical line you described could simply be due to either the connectors needing to be re-seated a few times to clean up the contacts or the LCD-videocam ribbon cable needs to be replaced from the wear and tear of opening and closing the lid too much. New ribbon cables are less than $20.
