Hi
My laptop is the Acer Aspire 5820T - 6401
I bought it in store as "Open Box" a month and a half ago
Very excellent condition, except for a charger issue, the laptop does not start when the charger is plugged in, but it starts normally on the battery. While working on the battery it freezes if you connect the charger cable.
The maintenance center of the store was unable to find the reason after trying for a month, can you help us - please - in knowing how to discover the cause of this, and how to fix it?

with many thanks.

About the device:
Acer Aspire 5820T - 6401
SN: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I downloaded all the drivers for the device from Acer, and they are all Up To Date.

Measure voltage output of charger plug's outer ring and center contact with a multimeter. Should be about 19volts DC. Jack E/NJ

    Thank you JackE
Did you mean that the device must be powered by 19 volts to boot?

Did the maintenance center people experience he same freezing at the center when the charger was plugged in? Or is it just your experience at home? Jack E/NJ

Yes,  the maintenance center people experience he same freezing at the center when the charger was plugged in ! They do the best but no positive result. They returned the laptop its source (Dubai I think), and I have my money back.

Good. I think the mainboard probably had an issue. It is probably over 10 years old. Jack E/N
