Hello all! I have a similar problem with the Triton 300 (i7 10th gen, 2070 max-q). I have a laptop cooling pad and I've repasted with Arctic MX thermal paste I had sitting around. I've also undervolted as far as it goes before crashing out, and even turned the multiplier for the turbo down to >4Ghz. Considering they label this laptop CPU as a 5Ghz turbo, it's a hot mess (No pun intended). Playing games makes it immediately go to 88+ degrees. Since repasting voids warranty, I'm left with a "decent but not even near worth the money I spent on it" laptop that can't even keep up with a similar performing PC for nearly £1000 less!

HOWEVER. Once I exit a game, it cools down fast. When fans are cranked to near max, it idle's at 35/40 and given that i've reduced the turbo multiplier it does max out at around 80 when rendering/building in UnrealEngine.

My main complaint is that for a laptop with a price tag of £1500+, you'd think it requires less extra work to get it to be functional without setting your house on fire... I'll repeat: Laptop Cooler pad, repasted, undervolted, turbo multiplier decreased.

TL;DR: It's a good laptop, but to get it to function properly, you'll need to find a perfect balance of slower CPU and lower temps, with faster but hotter CPU. Not pleased at all, but it is what it is...
